X-rays can be used to analyze the diffraction pattern of atoms in a protein crystal to determine the three-dimensional array of atoms that make up the crystal. The Pro-Crystal ™ plate-24well hanging drop type is the most commonly used form of vapor diffusion method, and it can be easily crystallized and has the advantage of obtaining large and many crystals in a single experiment.
